The MR-1824 Series is a Sentinel-Prox medium-range proximity reader designed for building and large-door access control applications requiring an extended read range. It provides an 18 to 24-inch read range, reducing the need to bring the credential close to the reader.
The series includes standard MR-1824, metal-compensated MR-1824-MC, and HiLo configurations for installations requiring two readers at different heights without interference. The reader supports Wiegand and RS-232 interfaces and is compatible with Wiegand access control systems. Electronics are protected with epoxy potting for demanding environmental applications, while LED and Piezo beeper indicators provide visual and audible user feedback.
