The OmniPoint® Wireless Multi-Point Access Control system is a wireless access control solution that uses a hub-and-spoke architecture to manage multiple entry points across a property. An OmniPoint Gateway serves as the communications hub, connecting to CellGate’s TrueCloud Connect™ platform through either a wired internet connection or cellular LTE. The Gateway communicates locally with Entry Point Modules (EPMs) using long-range LoRa technology, allowing access points to be installed up to one mile from the Gateway without requiring long-distance data wiring. Local wiring is only required at each entry point for power, the credential reader, and the electronic lock.
The system supports up to 50 entry points from a single Gateway, with additional Gateways available for larger properties. OmniPoint is designed to operate without line-of-sight requirements and works with CellGate CG Readers as well as any 26-bit Wiegand reader. Entry Point Modules are available with either internal or external antennas, store common access restrictions locally, and continue to process credentials if communication with TrueCloud Connect is interrupted. Each EPM is powered by 12 VDC or 24 VAC, is compatible with customer-selected electronic locks, and includes a fire alarm function that can trigger designated door or gate actions.
System administration is performed through the TrueCloud Connect™ platform, which enables centralized management of multiple properties from a single login. The platform integrates with Yardi and RealPage property management software to simplify user provisioning. Property managers can use the CellGate app on iOS and Android devices to create access codes and send momentary open or hold-open commands. Dealers and installers can activate Entry Point Modules in the field using the CG Installer app.
