The 1837 – 80 Series Entry System is a telephone entry and access control system designed for medium to large apartment communities, gated communities, office buildings, industrial facilities, self-storage sites, parking facilities, and mixed-use developments. The system stores up to 3,000 telephone numbers and names along with up to 8,000 device codes. It can be expanded to control up to 48 wired access points using Tracker Expansion Boards or up to 24 wireless access points. Surface-mount, flush-mount, and wall-mount styles are available to accommodate different installation requirements.
The system supports voice and data communication through Cellular 4G-LTE, VoIP/Ethernet, or POTS (Plain Old Telephone Service) connections. An eight-line super-twist LCD directory display with ½-inch characters provides directory information and can display a personalized message when the system is idle. Large A–Z scroll buttons and the One Touch CALL button simplify visitor operation. Programming and system administration are available through the DKS Cloud Account Manager using a web browser or with the Desktop Account Manager software. The system also supports card reader interfaces, elevator control with optional expansion boards, live transaction monitoring, and three anti-pass back configurations: passive, active, and trap.
The 1837 – 80 Series includes an 8,000-event transaction buffer, 31 security levels with 29 programmable permission levels, eight hold-open time zones, programmable four-digit entry codes, holiday scheduling, a built-in clock and calendar, LED keypad illumination, database import and export capability, and a built-in postal lock provision. It interfaces with two card readers as standard and supports expansion through wired or wireless Tracker Expansion Boards. Additional features include stainless steel faceplate construction, galvanized steel sub-plate, offset speaker holes for protection, optional handset support, and compatibility with 26-bit Wiegand devices and RS-485 connections.
