The XP-3620 is a switchplate-mount UHF reader designed for near-field access control applications. It operates as a near-field partner to AWID’s UHF long-range readers, allowing the same hand-held cards and tags to be used for vehicle and pedestrian access.
The reader can be mounted beside a door or turnstile on a single-gang utility box or wall surface, for indoor or outdoor applications. Card reads are indicated through a 2-color LED and beeper, supporting visible and audible user feedback. The XP-3620 provides simultaneous Wiegand and RS-232 interfaces and is designed to connect to an access control panel like a proximity reader.
